All I Ask Of You

I have always liked the song “All I Ask Of You” from Phantom Of The Opera.

The lyrics are very beautiful and romantic, and every time I listen to the song, I just melt. That was why I paraphrased the words for my fan fiction “The Diary”, when Albert declared his love to Candy.

No more talk of darkness
Forget these wide-eyed fears
I’m here, nothing can harm you
My words will warm and calm you

Let me be your freedom
Let daylight dry your tears
I’m here, with you, beside you
To guard you and to guide you

Say you’ll love me every waking moment
Turn my head with talk of summer time
Say you need me with you now and always
Promise me that all you say is true
That’s all I ask of you

Let me be your shelter
Let me be your light
You’re safe, no one will find you
Your fears are far behind you

All I want is freedom
A world with no more night
And you, always beside me
To hold me and to hide me

Then say you’ll share with me one love, one lifetime
Let me lead you from your solitude
Say you need me with you here, beside you
Anywhere you go, let me go too
Christine, that’s all I ask of you

Say you’ll share with me one love, one lifetime
Say the word and I will follow you

Share each day with me, each night, each morning

Say you love me

You know I do

Love me, that’s all I ask of you.

(They kiss. Raoul lifts Christine off her feet, into his arms and holds her)

Anywhere you go, let me go too
Love me, that’s all I ask of you

Here is a music video for this song:

Anyway, since Albert’s birthday is June 28 (please correct me if I’m wrong), I’m writing a short story about Albert and Candy and drawing a new picture based on a scene in this story to celebrate. Hopefully, I will be able to publish both before the end of June. The story is like a sequel to “It must have been love” or “The Diary”, but it can be read by itself.

In addition, for those readers who are following my long story, “Love Never Fails”, I would like to assure you that I will not stop writing it. My goal is to finish the story this year, and thank you very much for your continued support. To those who have written reviews for me, I can’t thank you enough for your time and effort, and the positive reviews do motivate me to keep going. Thank you once again!

Although I’ve never seen The Phantom of the Opera, I do know the song.
It is a truly romantic song and I like it very much
I had forgotten about the song until I saw it again on your blog. Thanks for refreshing my memory 🙂

    1. You’re welcome CKati, but if you haven’t seen it yet, then you should! 🙂 The songs are beautiful, and of course the drama! Glad you like this song too, and I’d like to share what I like on my blog. 😛

Hi didn’t know you like phantom of the opera too! My favorite song in there is “music of the night”. When I was younger I used to think Raul is the one for Christine without doubt and that phantom is only an obsessive monster. But ever since this movie, I have a better understanding of phantom and I’m now totally pro phantom! Maybe it’s mostly because of Gerard Butler 🙂

Btw, look forward to your new story!

    1. Yes I have seen the musical in theatre and just loved the songs (almost all of them)! They are classics indeed! For every love triangle there are people who like one over the other… Phantom has my pity but I like Raoul more! 😉 I will watch your video soon, and thank you, Nathanalie, for your support! 😀

This is the most favored song for true love couples. I think I’ve seen this movie twice now. Maybe you should write a long story of Albert, Terry (or Anthony) and Candy based on TPOTO. Enjoy your weekend. ✌ ✌ ✌

    1. Thanks! But another love triangle? Probably not… 😛

Honestly, I just can’t picture Albert as the Phantom, lol >.<

Hey I forgot to mention… I support with your new writing adventure. More stories in English, the better! 🙂

        1. Thank you! I will try my best 😉
