One of the reasons I like the story Candy Candy is that the main heroine, Candy, is inspiring to us all. Despite all the hardships and trials she had gone through since childhood, she remained optimistic and believed in making a positive difference in the world surrounding her. Even at the end, her long time best friend Albert used the phrase “you’re prettier when you smile than when you cry” to remind her of her first encounter with her Prince on the Hill. Once she understood his hint, she dashed toward her prince with a huge smile on her face, and that was how the manga ended. Initially, I found the open ending disappointing, but gradually I started to appreciate it. As Albert said, a smiling face really suits Candy.
I simply reused my latest drawing and continued to ‘upgrade’ it. 😛 I’ll be quieter after today because I’ll spend my spare time writing my next chapter of “Love Never Fails”. Thank you for your understanding! 😀
