To Nilva, part of the lyrics matches Albert’s feelings when he first recovered from amnesia:

The first image that flashed across his mind when Albert woke up as his former self was Candy’s smiling face. See “Sharing half of a sandwich” for details if you’re interested in what I have said before regarding this.
Remember the night when Candy begged Albert to let her take care of him until he recovered? He was highly reluctant, but when he finally succumbed to her tears and earnest plea, in his mind he wished he could regain his memory as soon as possible.
However, when his memory did return more than half a year later, he went back to this park and stayed there until dark. Judging from his conversation with his pet skunk, it seemed that he had lost track of time somehow. He appeared perplexed too, like something was bothering him. The manga doesn’t show us what he had been thinking, but it’s obvious that he was far from thrilled of his recovery. The fact that he questioned himself if he could continue to live with Candy implies that his feelings for his roommate had changed. For your interest, you can read more on this post.
