Many thanks to my dear friend QuevivaCandy for sending me the site that contains the links to various excerpts / spoilers of the Candy Candy novel, published by Mizuki in late 1970s after the Candy Candy manga had been complete. It was like a novelization of the manga version, and I usually call this “the old Candy Candy novel”.

As some of you might have known, the epilogue of Candy Candy Final Story (CCFS) has many overlaps with this old novel, in particular the letters between Candy and Albert after his revelation as her Prince on the Hill. However, Mizuki has also modified a lot. When I have time, I’ll talk more about the major changes.
