Ms Puddle's Haven

To my friends in France

Most of you have probably heard of the horrible attack in Paris yesterday. When I learned about the massacre on the news, I was terribly shocked, and I was worried about my friends in France. I really hope they are OK, so I contacted one of them right away. I got her reply in the afternoon that she was alright. Nevertheless, the suspects are still at large, and the people in nearby cities and suburbs are in danger and understandably restless.

In response, many people drew various cartoons in memory of those victims, some of whom were cartoonists. Here I present to you my latest drawing as well. It started off as a commission, but I found out on Monday that the person didn’t want it anymore, so I put it aside and moved on to my other tasks. However, yesterday, I decided to pick it up again and modified it as a modest present to my friends in France. Hence, it’s very different from the original specification of the commission, and I drew this based on the manga version when Candy discovered Albert’s true identity in the solarium of the Lakewood villa. I attempted to depict the moment when Albert told Candy that although he knew he couldn’t escape his destiny as Uncle William, he still wanted to be “Albert”. Candy responded by calling him “Albert” with a smile on her face.

This drawing may look a bit rough, but with a heavy heart, to all my friends in France, please respond if you see this. I just want to know you guys are safe, and I sincerely pray that the police can track down the fugitives as soon as possible.
