How are you? I’m under quite a bit of stress from work, so I’ve been quiet lately. However, I sincerely wish that you stay healthy and will not be affected too much by the growing worldwide concerns of the coronavirus.
I’d also like to send my warmest congratulations to Spanish-speaking fans in Candy Candy fandom. I really admire the cover page of the new Spanish version of Candy Candy Final Story, elegant yet simple. 🌹 I wonder if any publisher has plans to translate this novel to English or other languages (Chinese or Korean for example)? 🤔
Recently, my friend Fay related to me about some discussions regarding a certain pro-Terry website in their Greek Forum. For your interest, this is the thread. Fay does not mind me sharing what’s happening to others, so I have summarized her words below.
Maybe some of you are aware that Candy Terry Paradise has been closed since March last year. Whether coincidental or not, this took place soon after Nagita Sensei’s appearance in Paris. There was no public announcement prior to that book fair, and nobody provided any explanation for that either.
Honestly, I hope that the main reason behind it has nothing to do with personal issues or problems in the website owner’s real life.
Anyway, out of curiosity, Fay left a comment in the Greek Terry fans’ forum concerning this matter. At first nobody knew why it had happened, but later one of them claimed to know the reason. She, along with other Greek Terry fans, had gone to Paris to meet Nagita sensei. The administrator of the CT Paradise was there too, accompanied by a childhood friend. This friend knows the Japanese language well and even posted a video with Nagita Sensei admitting that Albert and Candy had romantic feelings for each other.
Yes, you bet. I’ve mentioned this video before in one of my earlier posts.
Well, this Greek Terry fan, a member of the CT Paradise, started a discussion in the forum and questioned the sound quality of that video. The questions and answers weren’t clear enough for anyone to hear. The admin of CT Paradise then deleted that discussion. As a protest, this Greek Terry fan responded by posting a picture with offensive remarks. Needless to say, that picture was immediately deleted by the admin, and this member was subsequently banned for a period of time.
The forum was later shut down in March 2019, and this Greek fan believed her posts were the cause of that and even claimed the admin had turned into an Albert fan, blah blah blah.
I don’t intend to dwell into any more details here. Yet I highly doubt that a website with hundreds of members from several countries was closed down simply because of a certain non-cooperative member. What do you think? Please feel free to share your thoughts. 🙂
