    Hi!

From all your fan-art, it’s very difficult to choose which one is my favourite. I would say that my “top three” are the following:
    1. Candy and Albert huddled together on the tree;
    2. Archie;
    3. Candy wearing a long dark-green formal gown.

And from your fan-fiction, my favourite are:
    1. “Peculiar Relationship”;
    2. “Love Never Fails”;
    3. “A Man in Love”.

Have you ever considered drawing Stear or Patty?

    Cheers!

    • Myra says:

‘Peculiar Relationship’ is awesome! The character development is astute.

      • Ms Puddle says:

Thank you @Myra for your kind words about Peculiar Relationship ❣️

        • Myra says:

You did a fine job with that story. All the fanfics of yours which I’ve read so far are amazing but ‘Peculiar Relationship’ really stood out for me.

          • Ms Puddle says:

Thank you @Myra!! Thank you for your continued support and encouraging feedback to my fanfics 😍🥰 In fact, Peculiar Relationship is very special to me too 🤗

    • Ms Puddle says:

Hi @Irana93, thanks so much for your positive feedback to my fanarts and fanfics❣️ So glad to hear you like my drawing of Archie this much 🤗

The fanfics that you’ve listed held different special places in my heart 💓 Thank you very much 🤗

I like Stear and Patty a lot, but Terry is a challenge to me, especially because there are a lot of his fanarts out there. I was gonna draw him but then my tablet suddenly stopped working. 🙁 Now with my new drawing tool I might draw either Candy or Albert again. Just want to get used to my new pen first ☺️

      • Irana93 says:

Tbh, I would like to see more of Patty, Archie and Stear fanart but it seems that Terry and Albert have preoccupied the CC community.
Whilst most of the Terry and Albert themed fanart is noteworthy, some Terfans have a rather ‘annoying’ habit of making their desired cartoon character look like a girl. There’s no problem looking effeminate but the irony is that most Terfans fantasize Terry as being masculine but their drawings make him appear as a female. Those who try to make him look like Henry Cavill, Giulio Berruti or Luke Evans seem to have got it right. As for the others, they make him look more like Neve Campbell.😏
On the other hand, most of the drawings related to Albert are above par. Many folks contend that Albert looks a lot like Chris Hemsworth and Joe Alwyn. I agree with those views and I would also add a few more actors to the ‘list’ such as Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, Paul Bettany and Sam Heughan.

        • MIchelle says:

Kivanc Tatlitug’s resemblance to Albert is impressive. I’ve found some pics of his where he’s sporting a beard and longer hair:

          tinyurl.com/acxwepce

          tinyurl.com/ymphme2k

          tinyurl.com/d8cn3474

          • Ms Puddle says:

Thanks for the links @Michelle! With beard he looks perfect as vagabond Albert indeed! 😍
I’ve edited the tiny URLs so that those who are interested can click on them 🤗

            • MIchelle says:

He even has Albert’s eye-color as described by Candy in the CCFS. She is so enchanted by Albert’s eyes which “are blue as the morning sky”.

        • Ms Puddle says:

Yes @Irana93. I like the Cornwell brothers a lot, and Patty is my second favourite female character in CC. It’s really too bad Stear had to die in the story 🙁

All your casting choices are excellent. These are all good looking actors, but Neve Campbell?? LOL 🤣

Some people think the late Paul Walker and Dan Stevens would be great as Albert too.

  2. Gabriella says:

    Hello again!

You needn’t worry about the typos in some of your fanfics. Typos are ubiquitous in virtually all publications. That’s the reason why editing is such a demanding task. lol

I’m pleased that you’re planning to writing a new fanfic. Really looking forward to reading it when complete.

    Best Regards!

    • Ms Puddle says:

Hi there @Gabriella! Yes I agree with you that editing is not an easy task at all. Humans make mistakes lol 😅

Thank you for your encouraging words 🤗 I’m still thinking whether it’s a short one or medium length. Perhaps a short one to warm up first. It’s been years since I last wrote a medium length fanfic 😉

      Take care!

  3. Lynn says:

As for the jab, I haven’t got it yet. Although I know it’s necessary, if not vital, I’m not looking forward to the potential (and potent) side-effects, tbh. Some colleagues of mine at work have received the first dose and they felt as if they were hit by a truck. Fortunately, those side-effects lasted for only a couple of days and eventually subsided. For those of us who are young and strong, this vaccine is probably going to hit us hard as our immune system is robust.

    • Ms Puddle says:

Hi @Lynn you’re not the first one who said something along the line, that the young and healthy would react much stronger to the vaccines. I have friends in different age groups, and those who are stronger or younger seem to suffer more side effects… 🤔😳

      • Lynn says:

It’s also a matter of gender. I’ve read some reports from the CDC where it’s stated that women tend to be the recipients of more unpleasant side-effects than men due to the apparent higher level of oestrogen in women. It gets even worse when that woman is younger. That’s the reason why middle-aged women (50s and above) do not experience such intense side-effects as younger women (20s-40s) because they’re into or well over menopause stage.

  4. Lynn says:

It’s difficult to choose which one I like the most as all of your illustrations are amazing. Perhaps I would choose the one where Candy and Albert are in each others’ arms whilst it’s snowing. Those two look so beautiful and very similar to Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn.

    • Ms Puddle says:

Thank you so much @Lynn❣️ Although I’m not sure which one you meant? Did you mean the one in which Candy and Albert were dressed formally?

Thank you anyway for your compliment 🥰

    • MIchelle says:

Great choice! If a well-known actor would ever be cast for the role of Albert, Joe Alwyn or Chris Hemsworth would be a “perfect fit”.😉

      • Ms Puddle says:

Totally agree with you, @Michelle. Joe Alwyn will be perfect as amnesiac Albert while Chris Hemsworth can be WAA 🥰😍

      • Lynn says:

Thanks! Both Joe Alwyn and Chris Hemsworth look very much like Albert whether their hair is longer or shorn.

        • Michelle says:

Albert does have a bit of a “Thor”-like quality and appearance, doesn’t he?😉

          • Ms Puddle says:

In the anime version Albert does have a “Thor”-like quality, @Michelle, but not so much in the manga version, at least to me. ☺️

  5. Christine says:

Hi! I think you should consider getting the ‘LNF’ published. It’s such an intriguing story which is well-written and you’ve provided a lot of depth by enriching the character development of the key characters-most importantly, Candy, Albert, Terry and Susanna. I also like the additional characters which are not related to the original CC/CCFS. The anime had also added characters which were never mentioned in the manga.

    • Ms Puddle says:

Thank you so much, @Christine for your highly encouraging words to my fanfic❣️ So happy to hear that you like my original characters too 😍

It’s already published on fanfiction 😉 In fact, years ago I noticed the entire fic had been published in another fanfic site with similar layout and interface. I was quite surprised back then because I wasn’t informed about that. But now at least the one I published myself has been revised (hopefully improved). ☺️

      • Christine says:

It would be wise to protect your work (fanart and fanfiction) in terms of copyright. There are many sites which use your work; some acknowledge you and the creator but others simply don’t.

      • Sarah says:

I’ll just chime in a bit here and agree with @Christine. After the various instances of copyright infringement (such as that person who kept uploading your artwork without citing you as the source), you should secure your work online as your own intellectual property.

        • Ms Puddle says:

Thank you @Christine and @Sarah for your advice. That’s one of the reasons why I started my blog where I would upload my new fanfics and fanarts. I’ve heard scary stories about how Facebook accounts or pages could be banned or deleted due to malicious attacks. Also, the fanfiction site seems to have a mirror site, where I found my fanfic “Love Never Fails” there also. However, the chapters were intact with my pen name.

Thanks again though. For new fanarts I’ll definitely put obvious watermarks which hopefully are harder to be erased.

  6. MIchelle says:

Thank you for the updates @Ms Puddle. The fact that you share all this awesome info with us even though you’re so busy at work is most appreciated.🙏

    • Ms Puddle says:

Thank you @Michelle! I just joined a new team at work and I’m in the process of ramping up. So far so good. I’m actually excited to learn new technologies myself.

I keep my blog updated as a way to relieve stress. The same applies to drawing fanarts or writing fanfics 🤗 We are all busy, so I truly appreciate your continued support and interest, Michelle 😊

  7. Anita says:

Those are lovely photos and illustrations. Thanks for sharing!

No need to worry about typos and other minor errors regarding your fanfiction. We all make some form of mistakes when typing. It’s inevitable really…

Concerning the vaccination, I’ll have to consult with my doctor because I’m allergic to some of the ingredients found in the mRNA vaccines. I may have to go for J&J or AZ depending on my doctor’s medical advice.

    • Ms Puddle says:

Thank you @Anita for your kind and encouraging feedback for the illustrations❣️

Concerning typos, yes I agree, but I was supposed to proofread my work, lol. So in a sense I had no excuse 🤣 But thanks for your understanding!

Hopefully your doctor will help you sort out which vaccine to get. I heard a lot of people in UK have already had their first doses, correct?

Anyway, take good care and stay safe 🤗

      • Anita says:

        Thank you @Ms Puddle!

It’s a bit frustrating regarding the vaccine because I want to receive it asap but there’s a strong possibility that I won’t due to the fact that I suffer severe allergic reactions to vaccines. My doctor will examine alternatives and discuss them with me.

        • Anita says:

As for the UK vaccination procedures, most people are moving well into the second dose. However, there are rising concerns surrounding AZ -especially when it comes to younger women- and the government along with scientists are considering offering an alternative in this case too.

          • Ms Puddle says:

Yes @Anita there are controversial issues regarding AZ but for those who had no problem with their first doses would they be alright for their second doses? A friend of my friend refused to take AZ when all his co-workers in his workplace were given the chance. Unfortunately, he later contracted covid, and now he truly regretted… 🥺 I don’t know him well but I hope he’ll survive.

        • Ms Puddle says:

I can see why you’re frustrated, @Anita. I’m sorry to hear that you’re seriously allergic to the vaccines. But is it only the mRNA ones or all of them? I hope your doctor will help you find the appropriate alternatives 🙏

          • Anita says:

To be frank, I’m at the end of my tether with all this. On the one hand, I want to get vaccinated as soon as possible so my life can return to normal; on the other hand, I’ve got this serious issue concerning allergic reaction to vaccines. I have no other alternative but to await advice from my doctor after having done a thorough check-up. We’ll just take it from there, I suppose..

            • Ms Puddle says:

Hi @Anita, I’m sorry to say that people who got vaccinated can’t be truly back to normal. Some health officials even said that we can never go back to the pre-pandemic lifestyles. Perhaps they’ve exaggerated, but I have read more than one news articles about “supposedly protected” people (already got two shots) contracting the deadly virus… 🙁

That being said, I sincerely hope that there’s at least one alternative for you. 🙏 I think you’re not alone. Someone out there might also be allergic to the ingredients.

              • Anita says:

Thank you for your support, Ms Puddle. You’re right about the vaccination and its alleged safety. There are still many people who continue to be hospitalized even after having received the 2nd dose of the vaccine. The way the situation is going, the only way this pandemic will be eradicated is if a cure is found. Vaccinations alone do not appear to suffice.

                • Sarah says:

For what it’s worth, many people are concerned about the potential side-effects of this vaccine, whether allergic to its chemical substances or not. In the States, many people have put off getting their second shot for fear of suffering even more severe side-effects. On the one hand there’s this deadly virus and on the other hand, there’s this vaccine which is still in its embryonic and experimental phase.

                • Anita says:

There’s a much bigger turnout in the UK even though AZ has such a bad rep. I can understand and sympathize with all those people who are apprehensive about the vaccine. However, contracting COVID-19 is even worse. Fortunately, the government in the UK is offering an alternative to those who under fifty years of age-in particular, women.

                • Sarah says:

What sort of alternative? Opting for Pfizer or Moderna, for example?

                • Anita says:

The government hasn’t been clear about it but it seems that they’re willing to offer the alternative of the other vaccine brands which have not been reported to have caused thrombosis-at least not yet..

  8. Leda says:

    Hi there!

I’m planning to read your “LNF” fanfic during the summer break. Hopefully, I’ll manage to get some time off work which means 2 weeks instead of only 1.

Heard that the situation surrounding COVID-19 in Canada is under control. Glad to know that you live in such a safe place. We’re doing much better in the US too and that’s thanks to the new administration which focuses on science and logic.

    Talk to you again soon!

    • Ms Puddle says:

No rush and no obligation, @Leda. You don’t have to read LNF 😊 It’s very special to me because it was my first fanfic and will likely remain the longest in my collection. 😜

In Canada the situation is not too bad in many places but quite serious in the provinces with much higher population. It’s a relief it’s already so much better in the US now thanks to the new administration.

      Take care! 🤗

      • Leda says:

No obligation at all. In fact, I’m really looking forward to it as I’m also anticipating heading for the beach during the summer vacation.😎🏊‍♀️🌊

        • Ms Puddle says:

Glad to hear that you’re going to enjoy a two-week vacation near a beach, @Leda! Sounds fun, and I hope you will get well-deserved rest 🤗

          • Leda says:

Counting the days! I hope you get to relax during the summer too. After so much hard work throughout the year, we deserve to stretch our legs a bit.

  9. Myra says:

    How are you?
So much has occurred in such little time. Have you been vaccinated yet? My family and I did. Those 50 and over didn’t experience any side-effects but the younger ones and those my age (30-35 range) had a bit of a rough ride. For my part, I had some chills and a slight fever but that lasted for about half a day and then all good. I’m in for the second dose in a few weeks..

Wish you and your loved ones all the best and, above all, good health.

    • Leda says:

      Hi Myra!

Glad that you’re OK. If you don’t mind me asking, which one did you get vaccinated with? I’m going to get the vaccine next month and I’ve been hearing various complaints surrounding the side-effects, especially amongst us 30 year olds. Those in their early/mid 40s also experienced some unpleasant side-effects.

      • Myra says:

I don’t mind at all, Leda. Thanks for your concern.
My parents and grandparents got the Pfizer and my sister and I got the AstraZeneca. My sister experienced almost no side-effects. She’s a bit older than me but I’m not sure if that has to do with it. I guess it really depends on how each individual’s body and immune system react to the vaccine.

        • Leda says:

I agree with you. It seems to be different from person to person.

          • Ms Puddle says:

Hi @Myra and @Leda, I have friends who got AZ and are in their mid or late 50s. They had very different experience in terms of side effects. The healthier guy, who’s quite physically active, actually had more issues. However, the effects didn’t last long for either of them.

            • Leda says:

It’s the chills and nausea which make me a bit apprehensive. There are also other side-effects such as fever and muscle pain. It’s still better than contracting that lethal virus, however.

    • Ms Puddle says:

Hello @Myra, no I haven’t yet got vaccinated but I plan to get it soon. I was a bit reluctant before mainly because I work from home and stay home most of the time, but now that a lot of my friends have been vaccinated I think I should go for it.

Glad to hear that the side effects after getting AZ weren’t too bad for you, @Myra❣️ There are many negative news concerning this after all. I know a guy who recently got Pfizer had similar experience, suffering from chills and mild fever as well. He’s only 19 but works as a paramedic.

Best wishes to you and your loved ones too! Stay safe 🤗

  10. Sarah says:

    Hello Ms Puddle!

It’s so great to hear from you again. As always, your drawings are amazing. I particularly like the one purported for “Love Never Fails” / Chapter 46 (the one where Candy and Albert are lying in bed together).

Take good care of yourself and stay safe!

I would like to hear from you!
