Connect with Candy Candy fans!
I have been a Candy Candy fan since August 2011, and I started writing my first fan fiction “Love Never Fails” in October that same year. Time flies, and I’m still writing this long story, one chapter at a time. However, I have taken several short breaks to write other short stories for my favorite couple in Candy Candy, Candy and Albert. For your interest, you can find my stories in

I’m truly grateful to have a group of faithful readers, and I have decided to start blogging as a way to share my thoughts and works with them. Therefore, it’s time to really get down to business! Please note that I’m new to the blogging world, but I hope this serves as a platform to connect with other Candy Candy fans as well.
Soon it will be the first anniversary since I published one of my favorite short stories, “It Must Have Been Love”, and I have a surprise for those who have read this story. Please stay tuned.
Hello Ms Puddle,
I know this is a very old blog, but I thought it was the right place to post my first comment to your blog….
I first watched Candy (anime) as a little girl, probably about 6 years old, when it first aired in Mexico back in the 80s… My sisters and i were big fans… Anthony’s death affected me so much… I still haven’t gotten over it more than 30 years after… I grew up being a Terry fan, like most of us did… that’s all we all talked about in school, though my favorite was always Anthony but since he was dead, I fell in love with the Candy-Terry pair…. it was also very upsetting witnessing that they never got together, but at the end, even as a little 6 year old, I understood that Candy could finally be happy with Albert, who was her prince of the hill… even though I hadn’t contemplated an Albert-Candy relationship, I was happy for Candy… She had found her prince and he was a great guy, I mean, he was the uncle William…. I understood she wasn’t going to be with Terry… and that was that… It was a nice ending for me… I didn’t think it was incomplete and I thought it was obvious she would end with Albert, even if he wasn’t my first pick…
I’ve lost count of how many times I watched Candy growing up, every time it was shown on TV I watched it…. Recently, a cousin asked me if I had ever watched Candy cause she never did, and had just recently bought some DVDs and had started watching it… she wanted to know my thoughts cause she was really enjoying it… since then I decided to look up Candy to remember my childhood memories… It was when i found about CCFS… I never knew it existed… I also discovered that there was a Candy manga, which we never had accessed to back in the 80s in Mexico… I became obsessed trying to figure out who this “anohito” was, and I ended up coming across your blog… I was happy to know that there was a possibility Candy ended up with Terry, and I’ve visited several pages and read several arguments for both, Terry and Albert, but your blog and arguments, along with Alex’s, have convinced me, beyond a doubt, that Albert is the parter of Candy at the end of the story. I’m upset that I never read the manga before, because now, after reading it, it has made me fall completely in love not only with Albert, but with the Albert-Candy relationship… Sometimes I even think that Albert is too good for Candy… haha… He’s such an amazing character… I think that only a blind person wouldn’t see how great he is and how much better he is for Candy than any other character in the story…. no one comes even close… I’m also really sad to discover how mean some of the Terry fans are… I made a comment on a different page where I was reading some of the translations of the story, stating that I believe Albert was CAndy’s partner and I was almost eaten alive… haha… It makes me almost ashamed to say I was ever a Terry fan… I still love Terry, but some of his fans want me want to hate him… lol
Anyway, I’ve read most of your stories on fan fiction and i love every single one of them. You encouraged me to comment on your blog, so I took your advice… I haven’t read all your posts, but I’m in the process of… Thank you so much for doing such an amazing job at analyzing the Candy story and for sharing your thoughts with us… Your blog is the best one I’ve come across and you got a new fan!
Luf
Hello there, Lupf! Thank you very much for all the encouraging reviews you’ve left for my stories in fanfiction.net 💘 I’ve written all my fanfics with love, so your kind words mean a lot to me.
Like you, I also watched the anime as a little girl, but I didn’t quite understand the story after the breakup in New York, and I had no idea what the ending implied. Guess I was too young back then lol…
You’ve probably read somewhere on my blog that I didn’t read the manga till 2011. As I was reading, I slowly fell in love with the character Albert, and at times I even thought he was too good to be true. However, the ending can’t be more clear to me this time. Candy finally found her true love. 💞
You’re more than welcome to browse around my blog and leave a comment or two anytime you feel like. It’s a pleasure to have ‘met’ you and hope to see you around, Lupf 😗
Hi Ms. Puddle, I first read Candy Candy when I was in grade 2 or 3 ( it was my first manga ever ) and I totally felt in love with it. 2015 – 15 years later, I knew the existence of the anime from my friend (I didnt know they make an anime adaptation back then >.< ) and I decided to re-read the manga (thanks to the internet and mangafox XD ). I then found out about CCFS and this lead me to your blog. I never thought of Candy and Albert together romantically when I was a kid. Back then, I was a bit disappointed cause I was rooting for Terry and Candy. Anyways, after re-reading the manga , with reading your blog and some life experience, I am "fan-girling" about Candy and Albert 😛 (and how I wish to have an Albert in my life lol) I decided to read all of your fanfics and I fell in love with every single one of them 🙂 Your blog is really entertaining and you are doing a marvelous job !! I hope you can share more about CCFS and your Japanese knowledge with us fan. Keep up with the great work ! Hoping to see more great post from you 🙂
ps; I have always want to commented on your post but dont know where to start and I think this might be the right place 😛 I also reside in Canada but in Ontario, near Toronto so I find your fanfic "My Prince Charming" quite interesting to read 🙂
Hi there, Tiffany! Nice to meet another Canadian here, so you’re from Ontario? You’re not the only one who didn’t quite understand the relationship of Candy and Albert as a child. Yet, like you, many of us can read between the lines as we become adults. 😉 Tiffany, you’re welcome to leave your comment on any post, and I’ll try my best to reply to you.
Glad to know you like my short story, “My Prince Charming”. 🙂 Thank you for reading my other stories too. My honor indeed. 😀
About CCFS, it’s fascinating! I wish I had been a better Japanese student so I could read CCFS faster… Sigh. I’ll try my best to share what I understand from CCFS on my blog. 🙂
Yes I’m from Ontario. I live in Waterloo, it is a small town so I dont know if you know it 😀 I really enjoy reading your fic, I saw that you have invested a lot in those. I spent my entire week trying to finish “love never fails” cause I was so in to it. I usually read it before going to sleep. Hopefully to see more of your fic and arts in the future 🙂
Yes Waterloo, of course! Is it where U of Waterloo is, Tiffany?
Thanks again for reading my stories including Love Never Fails, a long one indeed. 😉 At times I felt like giving it up, so I’m glad I didn’t. 😛
Enjoy your weekend!

When I started blogging on May 23 this year, I did not expect to reach over 10,000 hits within a short time frame. This is very exciting, and once again, I re-post this to invite you to drop by regularly to connect with me and others. Constructive suggestions and feedback to my blog are more than welcome. Thank you all very much!
