Happy Women’s Day!

One of the reasons I like the story Candy Candy is that the main heroine, Candy, is inspiring to us all. Despite all the hardships and trials she had gone through since childhood, she remained optimistic and believed in making a positive difference in the world surrounding her. Even at the end, her long time best friend Albert used the phrase “you’re prettier when you smile than when you cry” to remind her of her first encounter with her Prince on the Hill. Once she understood his hint, she dashed toward her prince with a huge smile on her face, and that was how the manga ended. Initially, I found the open ending disappointing, but gradually I started to appreciate it. As Albert said, a smiling face really suits Candy.

I simply reused my latest drawing and continued to ‘upgrade’ it. 😛 I’ll be quieter after today because I’ll spend my spare time writing my next chapter of “Love Never Fails”. Thank you for your understanding! 😀

Happy Women’s Day!!!!

Dear Ms Puddle, I´ve recently read the complete 9 vol. Of Candy´s Manga, what a beautiful story, and for me the circle was complete after so many years disappointed after the last anime chapter, but at the end, Manga makes more sense about our lovely Candy. I´m looking, desperately, in the web for more information about CCFS, mainly in English and Spanish. and luckily find your blog. i know that CCFS are in two parts with more than 300 pages each therefore exists, I guess, more letters to translate, I´ll be patient and wait until the author decides to do it, at least in English. Meanwhile, I want to congratulate you about the way you analyse the story 😉 Just one last thing, do you have direct access to CCFS,, have you read it in Japanese? Please let me know, your spoilers here are great! , I´m asking you that, because I read in other blog that Candy and Albert had a forbidden relationship because all the Aldrey clan doesn´t allow to get married, until Wall Street Clash, losing Albert his fortune, that could be the only way (according to the blogger) they finally are living together. Is that true??? Please let me know 😉

Dear Lisette, thank you for visiting my blog. I love the manga version way more than the anime. Not only the drawings are better to me, the story itself is more structured and coherent. It’s also very clear that Mizuki has designed the character Albert for Candy all along. 🙂

You have asked me a few questions, and I’ll try to address them one by one in my future posts, but first, at least I can tell you that I don’t understand Japanese either (I wish I could :P).

For CCFS spoilers in English, you can check this out:

      Hope this helps!

Thanks so much for your reply 🙂 I´ll be visiting the link ASAP!!! And I totally agree with you, It´s way better the structure of the Manga. For me there´s no doubt who Anohito is, there´s clues all over the Manga and even in the Anime. I remember the first I watched Candy, i was a little girl and Anthony was the right one and suffered a lot when he dies, ten tears later watched the reruns, I was 15, and her relationship with Terry was soooo intense…and now, with the internet blessing, and with more years and experience on my back, could discover the love story on Albert and Candy, more mature and all the time in front of my eyes 🙂 thank so much for create this blog. thanks for your effort and your drawnings 🙂

Oh yes!!! The first time I read these heart warming letters I felt 100% sure Candy and Albert were in love already. Also, Candy frequently mentioned Albert this and Albert that to others. It’s clear that Albert was always on her mind. 💞
