What’s your definition of “Prince Charming”?
From dictionary, this term is defined as “an ideal male lover who is both handsome and of admirable character.”
Of course nobody is perfect, but we can always dream, right?
I have browsed around and found answers from some ladies. See if you also agree with them.
One of them said ideally her prince charming would be a friend whom she could laugh with or chat for hours. In other words, he would have some sense of humor, willing to laugh at himself or someone with a free spirit.
Another lady defined her prince as someone who was tall with blue, green or gray eyes. Her prince would be strong such that he would stand for what he believed and not easily pressured into giving in. Most of all, he had to love her, cook for her, buy her diamonds, etc.
One said her prince charming would support her or do anything for her. Similarly, another lady said her prince would be decent looking and tall. He would make her feel special, willing to listen to her and always be there for her, etc. On top of all that, he had to be faithful.
A lady simply listed a bunch of traits for a man to be her perfect prince: sweet, understanding, funny, sensitive, fearless, protective, honest, smart, tall, average build, etc. He should have bright smiles and penetrating eyes (green or blue).
Very interestingly, some said looks weren’t so important as long as the man wasn’t ugly looking. Personality seemed to matter more.
So now, what do you think?
To me, Albert in Candy Candy appeared to have most of these qualities mentioned above. The author of Candy Candy, Mizuki, had indeed created his character as a “prince” material. Do you agree?
Lucky Candy… isn’t she?
Aladdin is my kind of prince because his personality turns me on like a switch lol
He’s not my type, but glad you have an example too 😉
When that prince chooses to drop his work to take care of someone who is feverish. Sweet! ❤ ❤ ❤ (Ɔ ˘⌣˘)˘⌣˘ C)❤ ❤ ❤
Ahhh .. That famous scene 😉
A true prince charming doesn’t complain what I eat. He enjoys watching me. 😉
Funny! Lol 😀
My prince charming is someone who is on the same page with me 😉
I agree with you, Aria! ^_^ To me he should know me very well! 🙂
…and you should know him very well also 🙂
Very true!! ^_^
My ideal prince is a man in a shining armor on a white horse 😀
Hahaha… The typical description 😉 ^_^
Speaking of Prince Charming, I knew two sisters. Let me name them as not to confuse you. One is called Apple and one is Banana. There were handsome two men in their lives and they were very kind. One is rich and the other is from middle class. The rich man is Orange. The other is Pear. Orange is in love with Apple and they were engaged. Pear loves Banana, but she keeps avoiding him because she prefers her sister’s fiancé. Then, to make Orange end up with her (Banana), she seduced him. They got married. Sadly…they were never happy. Orange’s kindness had gone madness because Banana ruined his life. He had brought her nothing but cold approach, etc. His heart remains for Apple. When Banana got tired of her miserable life, she visited her sister. Guess who answered the door for her? Her old boyfriend, Pear, who became the husband of her older sister. He turned out to be a PERFECT PRINCE after all. She observed how happy her sister (Apple) is with her ex-boyfriend. After that, she (Banana) went home full of regrets. Sad, isn’t it? I mean, how would we know if he was the right prince for every female? 🙁
The way Banana ignores Pear’s kindness because she was busy with the other man, does that remind you of Candy and Albert? 🙁
Thank you for sharing a story… I presume it’s real? But it’s interesting why the sister didn’t know her sister had been married already ;). Thanks for writing such a long comment though! ^_^
Yes, she did, but Apple stopped talking to her after what happened and lost contact. She had no idea Pear was there for her big sister at times of trouble until they fell in love. If only Banana gave her ex a chance to get to know him better, then she wouldn’t be suffering with her marriage life to Orange.
Perhaps Pear was meant for her big sister after all. He deserved a better woman don’t you think? 😉
Right on 😉
Well said!
Thanks!! 🙂
If we’re going to compare the ideal man to Albert who is rich with good looks, clothes, fancy cars, great mansions, but lack of Albert’s kindness and humility, then I’d say he’s no prince charming. Even though he has perfect body like Brad Pitt, however he gives you nothing but black eyes, forget it.
Yes… Kindness is also important ^_^
Agree with all you said. Summing up if the man fully accepted the woman no matter what or who she is or where she comes from, then I’d call him a ~true prince~. 😉
Can’t agree with you more ;). Thanks!!
