Serenity in the snow
Last Friday we went to Whistler with my family and relatives. Though we stayed at different places for the weekend, we enjoyed peace and serenity in the snow. The picture shows the path to their accommodation, and I like it so much that I have used it as the background of my Christmas ‘card’. 😛
The neighborhood where we stayed was about ten minutes away by driving, but it was also awesome. We went for a short hike in the area, and the snow was so powdery, fluffy and deep! A mere fifteen minute walk led us to a bridge across a frozen stream, overlooking the base of Whistler Mountain. Skiers and riders simply swooshed by us as we explored.
The following day we took the gondola up Whistler Mountain, where we could see lots and lots of skiers and riders near the peaks, including children, teenagers, grown-ups and even elderlies! The weather was not sunny unfortunately, but I’ll show you some pictures next time. Please stay tuned. 🙂
Oh yes, you chose the best title… Serenity in the snow, what a great place!!! A big hug for you and my best wishes for the 2014. xoxo Ü
