Happy Valentine’s Day!
Thank you all so much for your encouraging words and compliments regarding my latest drawing of Albert and Candy, inspired by the manga version. Those who have only watched the anime version might be surprised to see such a sensual scene, but if you’re curious, you can read one of my posts Love Triangle (Part 4), in which I attached this particular manga page.
I’ve always thought that Mizuki must want to convey something through this scene, and these two young people were barely clothed and soaking wet through and through. Come to think of it, how could Albert and Candy feel nothing at all, sitting in front of the fireplace for a long while waiting for their clothes to dry? Remember, one was beautiful and one handsome. Yes, Candy had just discovered Albert’s true identity, but prior to that, she had been missing him terribly for months too. Don’t say that she still loved Terry then because for many pages in the manga she seemed to have forgotten Terry until she ran into him again in Rockstown. Even when Albert brought up the news about Terry, Candy realized that the distance between her and Terry had accumulated.
Tell you what, I actually completed this drawing last week. I was thinking, isn’t it uncomfortable to keep wearing damp pants? Therefore, I didn’t draw anything under his waist to let you guys imagine whatever you like. 😆 However, I changed my mind and decided to draw Albert’s pants at the last minute. 😀 😛
