It’s my great honor and pleasure to announce the new Korean translation by dear chosen615. 💖💝 Some of you might remember that she translated 낮잠 (Afternoon Nap) last year.

대단히 감사합니다 (Thank you very much)!

This time, after reading the Japanese novel, Candy Candy Final Story (CCFS), chosen615 decided to also translate my other fanfic, The Diary, which I had written years ago. She has finished the entire story, and I will start publishing her works 일기장 in four separate parts this September. 🙂

Since I was mainly inspired by the CCFS spoilers (before I actually got to read the original CCFS), I blushed knowing that chosen615 was willing to translate The Diary. To me, it’s extremely encouraging, and I’m touched beyond words. 💓💗💞💕

I asked her to write a paragraph in her mother tongue why she likes Candy and Albert. Here you go:

What memories mean to Candy’s life and how they made Candy and Albert connected.

캔디가 외로워도 슬퍼도 울지 않는 비결은 ‘추억’이 아닐까. 포니의 집에서의 추억, 언덕 위의 왕자님과의 추억, 안소니와의 추억, 테리와의 추억, 스테아와의 추억 등 아름답고 때로는 아련한 추억들을 귀중한 보물과 같이 마음 속에 간직하며 이들을 삶의 원동력으로 삼아 살아가기 때문에 캔디는 어떤 어려움이 있어도 다시 밝아질 수 있는 것일지도 모른다. 이렇듯 추억을 소중히 여기는 캔디 곁에 모든 추억을 마음껏 나누고 함께 울고 웃어줄 수 있는 알버트가 있어주어서 그에게 참으로 고마울 따름이다. 그리고 지나간 추억을 공유할 뿐만 아니라 캔디와 함께 앞으로도 새롭게 따뜻한 추억들을 만들어나갈 것이기에 더더욱 고맙다.
