My coloring project (1)
This is my first time coloring for someone’s drawing, and it wasn’t an easy task to me, for I didn’t have the freedom to modify the line drawing as I can do to my own illustrations. 😛 However, I must say I have enjoyed the process, and below shows the first one I’ve done for Antlay’s drawings. She let me choose any color for Prince on the Hill, and I hope you like my choices. When I have time, I will proceed to the next one, either Candy or Albert in her set. 😉
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
You’re very welcome, Antlay dear! Glad you like it too! 🙂
I used to draw with pencils only as well, but once I started to learn digital coloring, it was fun! I went through different tutorials on the web and explored various techniques on my own, trying to find my styles too! 😀
I have been comparing the original with the colored one. I can’t put my finger on it but it seems that after the coloring, the drawing has changed somehow and not for the obvious reason of being colored.
Maybe it is the eyes ………
Or maybe it is because of the adder color ………
I like them both though 🙂
You did a fine job!
Have you heard from Antlay. Does she like it?
Hello CKati!! Thank you very much! Yes, I sent the draft (not the finished one) to her last week. She was very happy with it, but she told me she wouldn’t have internet for the next little while. 😉
I’m sure she will love it 😀
Thanks, dear CKati 🙂
Belated Happy Birthday, btw
Thank you. Also thanks for contacting Milady for me! 🙂
No problem, Ms Puddle. And thank you for your sweet visit to my places. 😉
Now about this coloring project, I do love it. I’m sure you’d color it perfectly if Antlay had fixed his eyes more, but hey… this one’s isn’t so bad. She’s brave enough to show off her talent as a new beginner. 🙂
I see nothing wrong with her drawing. It’s her style, and this is the typical manga eyes. Yet, I have fixed my coloring in the eyes slightly.
To answer to your message in the site, sure no problem. Since she pm’ed me her drawings… I think I will draw one of them so I won’t touch yours. 😉
Well, I noticed it wasn’t the only one that you had taken without asking me first. I had been blocked so I hadn’t realized till a couple of days ago. Thought that you, as an artist yourself, should have known better.
Correction: Color 😉
Shouldn’t you also be upset at those people who use your drawings as their avatars in another site without your permission? They didn’t link you, or even covered your brand.
Tell you what… I wasn’t upset, just surprised. Plus, I don’t have time to check everyone’s avatar, and what people do don’t affect me. Just thought that you should have known better. It wasn’t like I wouldn’t say yes to you. Anyway, enough of this.
I love it! Though I think there’s something in the eyes, might a little more shades of blue improve it? Don´t know for sure. I understand that you can’t modify as much as you could if it was your own creation.
Thanks SweetCandyAndley!! You mean lighter blue? The manga eyes is tricky, 😛 but I will keep that in mind when I color her Albert next. 🙂
I like it.
Thank you! 🙂
