Merci beaucoup, mon amie! 😍 I believe Albert would never forget Candy’s kindness to him. I can’t agree with you more about his experience being both painful and touching! That explains why he wrote to her (in CCFS) that he could never thank her enough 😘❤ sigh… He didn’t say it explicitly but he essentially implied he owed her his life 😌

This chapter is filled with Albert’s most intimate confessions from his heart to his loyal friend Georges! Although he is trying to tone it down by not saying he is in love with her, he still lets Georges know that he is in deep gratitude with Candy and that he wants to take care of her forever! Clearly he is only preoccupied about her happiness and does not mention or is concerned with his own!! Sigh!!! So touching!!

It is very touching when Albert tells Georges that he was at his weakest when Candy offered to take care of him. Yes perhaps that’s why he accepted but he also felt at peace with her and she with him! It was meant to be that they found each other over and over again. I simply love the statement Georges makes to Albert that they felt they had eachother despite being abandoned by others! I’m sure this struck a cord in Albert’s heart and made him realize how much in common he has with Candy! 😊

Ms Puddle, you mentioned to Candy Bert that it is not uncommon in Asian culture for a girl to fall in love with someone they regard as a big brother? Is this a common novel plot in Asian culture? Because Albert and Candy’s plot living together as brother and sister right at the last volume of the manga can be interpreted as leading to the culmination of their love story, especially if it’s a culture based plot. I would venture to think that to an Asian reader the outcome of this love story would be clearly understood! Not sure if I explained myself correctly?!?

Love this chapter my friend! Thank you! 😍

Dear Evelyn, thank you very much for your kind words! 😍 So glad you love the conclusion Georges gave, and that line practically came to my mind when I was writing. It’s funny how Georges became “alive” in my imagination. 😄

Yes, in CCFS, in Albert’s own writing to Candy, he didn’t use the word “love” but he explicitly indicated that he was extremely grateful to her and that he wanted to investigate what made her happy. The implications? He was in love with her, don’t you think? 😘😋 This is consistent with his action of returning the diary to her in Lakewood, the incident that we have discussed many times before. 😉

Yes I’ve personally read a few stories (some of them are mangas) in which the heroines either fall for their brothers right in the beginning or eventually (or vice versa, the brothers falling for the so-called sisters). That’s not an uncommon plot, so yes I could sort of see that coming when I first read the Candy Candy manga. Some don’t even find the ending surprising, but those who are pro-Terry are disappointed nonetheless. Sigh… 😆

What an awesome chapter filled with strong emotions my friend, well done!👍 I liked a great deal when Albert told about his turmoil, his very darkest thoughts when he was amnesiac and was abandoned, rejected by all but Candy! I was overwhelmed! 💔
I enjoyed too his recollection about Candy asking him to let her take care of him, very touching. 💓
It’s good to see Albert was beginning to confess all his struggles to Georges.
I like very much your interpretation of the blanks in the story of Candy Candy! 😍

    • Ms Puddle says:

Bonjour Candy Bert mon amie! 💞 Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement! I always feel that Candy being the only kind person to him had an indescribable impact on Albert’s soul. She even wanted to take care of him! If you know Asian culture, it’s not uncommon for girls to fall in love with someone they regard as big brothers. 😉😋 I have friends like that too. 💓

Another wonderful chapter written, Ms Puddle. 🙂
I am just wondering when will Candy come in to the story.
I love how Albert is so thoughtful and careful not to reveal too much detail to Georges though Georges has guessed it…

    • Ms Puddle says:

Hello JeannyJJ, nice to know you liked the chapter! 😍😘 Yes, Candy will appear, but I won’t tell you when. 😁 At this point in the story, it’s important for Albert to trust Georges again and for their relationship to restore. Later, the story will speed up significantly. 😊😋😘

I regret not reading it any sooner! This chapter is flawlessly written. Well done, my friend! You know you wrote really well when you successfully made your reader shedding some tears.

God, I love every words Albert told Georges about the day he left the hospital. We knew it was terribly horrific to be in his shoes at that time, but I at least never thought how it felt to be amnesiac and totally lost your direction and even wanted to end his life, yet in fact he was actually a total opposite of everything he had been thinking of.

Now .. How could he not love her with all his life? Impossoble. It was just natural for him falling deeply in love with Candy. For both of them, it was like a circle of karma. You do good to people sincerely, and the same thing would come back to you just when you need it.! They had been bound to have each other’s back since long time ago 🙂

    Thank you, Ms Puddle!

    • Ms Puddle says:

Thanks dear Reeka! Your comment made my day because I was feeling tired when I read it. My heartfelt thanks to you, my dear friend, for your kind words and encouragement! 😍😘 Just what I need to keep going. 😌

That’s exactly how I felt about Albert. His deep gratitude to Candy was evolved into romance, bit by bit, without him knowing. In CCFS, his last letter to her was filled with grateful words, and he even said he couldn’t thank her enough (I forgot the exact wordings 😅). That’s why Candy replied with love and gratitude. Their love is just beautiful to say the least. 💓💗💖

It’s touching when Albert confesses why have stayed with Candy. Sometimes I forget that it is a fan fiction, I feel it’s real.

Una motivazione?!? Questi capitoli sembrano usciti dalla penna della stessa Keiko Nagita… non mi sorprenderebbe se te li rubasse e li pubblicasse a nome suo… ma come fai ad emozionarmi così??

    • Ms Puddle says:

Grazie mille Mariacristina! 😍😘 Well, you know this story is based on the manga version, lol… 😄😅 But anyway, I take your comments as compliments, and thank you! You made me blush like a tomato 😄💗💖
